How to Be the Best Maid of Honor

If you have been asked to be the maid of honor, you may have the most duties on the bride and groom's special day! From planning the bachelorette party, giving a killer toast the day of the wedding, and helping out with the planning as much as you can, your job is to help take as much stress off of the bride as you possibly can so she can enjoy her big day.
Here are some tips for what the maid of honor can do during pre-wedding and the wedding day!

Pre-Wedding
Right from the get go, you will need to be very involved in the planning of everything involved in the wedding. If the bride needs help contacting vendors, venues, and other technical elements, this is a perfect place to help cut her work in half. It will also be your job to be the point person for the rest of the bridal party. From making sure they know what to do to get their dresses in time to getting travel taken care of, you will be the most important person in helping everyone get on the same page.

In addition to attending the rehearsal party, you will be in charge of planning and hosting both a bachelorette party and a bridal shower.

Wedding Day
When the big day finally arrives, this is the time where you will truly shine and be the super hero that the bride can rely on. On this day, you will have several responsibilities as well as times to enjoy. From getting ready with the bride and the rest of the bridal party, to helping her with her train and veil once she gets to the altar, to holding the bouquet during the vows, this little responsibilities will all lead to a smoother ceremony.

When you get to the reception, you will have several fun responsibilities to take care of, biggest of all being the speech. Following up the best man, your speech is a great way to let the bride know how much she means to you and how happy you are for the newlyweds.

Remember to enjoy yourself during the planning and on the wedding day, it is an honor to be a maid, so have fun with it!
