How To Wear Properly To A Cocktail Wedding

Wedding guests can find the dress code about what to wear on the wedding invitations. Semi-formal and cocktail attire are the commonly used terms. These phrases cover a lot of weddings. Cocktail is a perfect middle ground between black-tie fancy and daytime casual. Thus, wedding guests may take the cues from the venue and time of the ceremony to craft appropriate cocktail wedding attire.

Attire for Guys
Cocktail attire generally indicates a two-piece suit, buttoned shirt and tie. Lighten the look for day by choosing soft hues in your shirt and tie to complement a darker suit, while shoes should be oxfords, clean leather loafers or wing-ups. If it is a beach wedding, guys can wear more casual cocktail attire--go for a nice button up shirt and tie with slacks.

Dresses for Ladies
For day weddings, women can choose a pastel or printed knee length dress, and pair with the right heels to stay dressy. For evening wedding guest dress, black or navy blue outfits together with some jewel accessories are perfect. Sparkling matching accessories can always add a fancy touch to a simple cocktail dress for evening.

Pick Out Your Shoes
While beaches, farms, and gardens these rustic venues are getting popular. Walking through sand, grass or dirt requires a stable, flat shoes rather than a stiletto heel. A pair of dressy wedges work well if you are looking for added height, while patent-leather ballet flats are comfortable, classy and durable.

Besides, wedding guests should also pay attention to the wedding place and the season regarded to what they should wear. Guidelines should be followed in terms of the type of the wedding and also the temperature. Sometimes a jacket is necessary.
